The Basics

What is Landbridge?

For 20 years we have produced high standard, large scale bicycle events in the western United States under the name Bike Monkey. Throughout this time, we've learned a thing or two about producing incredible experiences for a large number of people. One day we got to thinking: what would it be like to create something with less complexity for a smaller number of people that highlighted the very best of what we've learned along the way.

Landbridge is the answer to that wandering idea. By design it has the means to reach places and moments that are far from our everyday relationship with the bike, hence the name.

Our headquarters are based in Santa Rosa, California, but our domain is much bigger.

How difficult is the riding?

We offer experiences for anyone with intermediate riding experience. We do expect that you've got some experience riding bikes in the discipline of any given trip that you're joining us for. But the difficulty of these rides can be catered to your fitness. Just tell us what you're hoping for, and we can suggest and even create a trip that works for you.

Do you have bikes?

We currently partner with various brands and regional shops who offer rental fleets, and can facilitate the arrangement of a bike for you with ease.

Can a guest join without doing the ride?

Our experiences can be offered with additional guest accommodations. If you have a non-riding partner who would like to participate in our off-the-bike portions, they can be ticketed separately.

Booking Information

Do your trips include accommodations?

Our multi-day trips will include accommodations if they are traveling to different destinations. For those that remain in one town, we offer discounted partner hotel room blocks for added convenience, but you may book outside of these blocks so long as you can provide your own transportation.

How do I sign up?

Each of our trips offers a sign-up link where you may secure your spot.

How many people partake?

Our open trips typically accommodate between 10 and 20 people. Some are more exclusive. It just depends.

Gear and Equipment

Can I ride my own bike?

Absolutely. We can also give your bike some attention. You'll want to check with us first if you're not accustomed to shipping your own bike, and we can help guide you through the process.

Can I wear my own clothing?

YUP! Free world.

Are e-bikes allowed?

They absolutely are. However you'll want to check with us first to make sure e-bikes are well-suited for the style of trip you are interested in.

Are meals included?

All of our trips include some if not all meals depending on when they start and end. This is to make sure that you're having the experience that we have hand-crafted for you. More details about the dining and food provisions are available in each trip page.

What about food alergies?

Just let us know, and we'll make sure you're dietary needs are taken care of.

Do you have showers?

For trips that do not include lodging, showers are sometimes included, but not always. This information will be identified in the details for each trip.
